7 PM Friday Night Summer Music!

We kick off our weekly Friday night summer music series with a special treat this weekend as we present His and Hers outside under the stars in picturesque Bynum, North Carolina. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back on May 3rd at 7:00.

This show has no cost for admission, but a pith helmet will be passed around for tips for the band. Easy and free parking can be found either at the Bynum Ball field or in the lot adjacent to the store. The show starts at 7:00. In case of inclement weather, the performance will be moved inside the historic Bynum General Store. Please, no pets and no alcohol allowed.

His & Hers is a husband and wife-fronted folk American bluegrass band from North Carolina. They have released four albums, including “Come On In”, in September 2022 and "Live at The Primavera Roadhouse, Volume 1" in March of 2024. High school sweethearts. Mother and father.

Come rock with us!

"Once you get that Bynum mud between your toes, you'll always come back!”

Bynum is a retired cotton mill village along the banks of the Haw River. The first mill was built around 1872. The town grew and became a vibrant community. Neighbors gathered to commiserate… and celebrate! Bynum General Store opened in 1936. There were five stores in town, a movie theater, and a school. The mill closed in 1983 and is just a memory now, but Bynum is almost as vibrant as years past! The longing to keep the community together continues to grow strong.

The Bynum Music Series began in 2001 to help sustain the Bynum General Store. When the Store's operator wanted to retire in 2006, Bynum neighbors banded together and created a non-profit organization called Bynum Front Porch. Our mission is to create family-friendly events and programs to celebrate the community’s rich history and bright future. The store was a historical landmark and is still the social center of the community.
